The Battle of Ashbourne Commemoration Committee
The Committee is a non-political group who have come together to hold an inclusive and balanced commemoration of the Battle of Ashbourne, which remembers all those who died in the 1916 Rising. The Committee undertakes to conduct the commemoration in a dignified, informative and non-triumphalist manner in keeping with the guidelines provided by the National Centenary Advisory Committee. The format of the Commemoration is intended to educate and celebrate the unique events that took place at the Rath Cross roads and in Ashbourne village on the 28th of April 1916.
